RECIPE: Refreshing Cucumber Infused Water
We all know that drinking plenty of water is essential to our health. However, according to research, most of us don’t drink anywhere near enough of this crucial element each day.
That’s why I thought to bring infused water to the table. Not only infused water can help encourage you to drink more, it also delivers excellent health benefits.
Infused water is simply water flavored naturally with fruits, herbs and vegetables. The ingredients are added to the water, then left for a period of time to release their natural flavors and nutrients.
You’re left with a flavorful water drink that’s both healthy and delicious.
You’ll not only receive the benefits of water alone, but the benefits of the fruit, herbs and vegetables you’re using.
Did You Know That Infused Water Reduced appetite?
If you’re struggling with your weight, you may find switching to infused water can really help.
Water alone can help to curb your appetite. However, with added fruits, vegetables and herbs, you’ll get that additional flavor which can also help satisfy the body’s sweet cravings without the added calories and fat.
We will talk more about the benefits of drinking infused water tomorrow, but for now, let’s get a look at the recipe I have for you
Refreshing Cucumber
If you’re looking for a refreshing, healthy infused water recipe, cucumber is the best ingredient to use. It contains a high level of nutrients and vitamins, such as Vitamin C, B6 and K.
While you can use cucumber alone, it’s best to combine it with other health boosting ingredients such as lemon and mint.
Slice of cucumbers place in pitcher along with mint if desired.
Add ice cubes, and top with water before refrigerating.
In 1 hour your refreshing cucumber water will be ready to enjoy!
Sparkling cucumber water is an invigorating variation. Make it by slicing ingredients into a pitcher and adding one bottle of seltzer water and placing in the fridge to infuse. Add a fresh bottle of cold seltzer just before serving.
